Born as Van Louelle Pojas in real life, the 18 year old Cebuano heartthrob made his mark as Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2 when he fought for his dreams even when his mother strongly disagrees with it. Whether in his hometown Cebu or on his vacation with his mother in Illinois, Van often encounters a group of admiring girls. This timid boy unknowingly catches attention not just by his good looks but as well as his soothing voice, guitar and drums skills. He currently put his education on hold for the chance to enter the Academy. As a kid, he dreamt of becoming a Sports Therapist, but instead he took up Physical Therapy at Cebu Doctor’s University. Inside the Academy, Van is often teased by his co-scholars for lacking vibrato, but Van proved that he is no-less than a performer onstage. He was able to make it to the Gala Night’s Top Three, not once but thrice, and made it to the Final Top Six and landed 5th in the vote-race. Not just a natural performer, but a natural dancer as well. Van is noted to be the only Top Six finalist that excels in Pop-Rock. Other than performing, this 18-year old enjoys playing basketball, skateboarding with his brother and friends and coming up with his original music. Van Roxas is currently working on his Debut Album featuring original and cover songs. |
